In this episode, we visit the port city of #Sasebo, #Japan. Although disembarkation took a lot longer than we would have liked with over an hour and a half standing in lines to get through immigration, it was a beautiful day to start exploring. The waterfront area of Sasebo, Japan, offers a quiet harbor surrounded by green hills. We enjoyed a stroll along the waterfront which is dotted with small cafes, benches, and photo spots overlooking the water (and your ship). The area felt peaceful with no crowds and features to #Gobangai shopping center. With no planned excursion due to trying to limit activity on Wil's foot, we decided to explore independently despite a late start due to the immigration process. After making our way into a small shopping area, we came across the large Sunplaza outdoor covered mall, which was perfect to escape some of the sun, but still be out in the fresh air. By the time we explored some of this mall, we realized we were not going to have time to see much else. We managed to have an excellent lunch and then wander through some additional streets and alleys before having to head back to the ship. Overall, we were disappointed that we did not get to see our experience more, but our disappointment was mitigated when we returned to the pier and were treated to an unexpected surprise that made our time off the ship well worth it! Be sure to watch until the end to see this unexpected highlight! Once back on board it was #Lobster night which was great for one of us! Our next episode will have us exploring more of what #diamondprincess has to offer and then we'll be heading to our final cruise port of this itinerary. _______________________ While you wait for our next video, be sure to check our our earlier episodes from this adventure to Japan: https://youtu.be/VTwYjwCFZak?si=T2gN8abEOfTVtXek https://youtu.be/3pYs6PJRMgY?si=5hr_iEG7wcxxVItM _______________ You can find some of our real time updates on our socials: https://instagram.com/onacruise_with_wil_and_stephen?igshid=MzMyNGUyNmU2YQ%3D%3D&utm_source=qr https://www.facebook.com/OnACruiseWithWilandStephen?mibextid=LQQJ4d _______________ Thank you for watching and we will see you in our next video!
