So, San Sebastian here in Lagra is beautiful. What a stunning place.

It's been a good day so far. Nice to see Matt recovering. He gave us a bit of a scare last night.

YouTube Video Description

Welcome to Day 2 of our Canary Islands cruise series aboard Marella Explorer 2! After the drama of embarkation day when Matt was suddenly taken ill, we weren’t sure how our first port day would unfold. Thankfully, Matt woke up feeling much better and was well enough to join us exploring the beautiful island of La Gomera. We dock in the charming port town of San Sebastián de La Gomera where we wander through its colourful streets, historic churches and along the island’s striking black sand beaches. The harbour is full of life too, and we spot some incredible fish swimming in the clear waters right by the port! Back onboard Marella Cruises, we discover a quiet hidden spot on the ship — the perfect place to relax with a cold beer and a good book while sailing away from La Gomera. 🍺📖 The evening brings Dress to Impress night, where we enjoy a fantastic meal in the main dining room before heading out for cocktails and the evening entertainment. Tonight’s show is “In Full Swing”, a lively performance packed with music and energy. To round off the night, we head to the Indigo nightclub for some late-night dancing and partying — ending what turned out to be an unexpectedly brilliant day after such an uncertain start to the cruise!
