Marella Cruises "Marella Discovery" en route Malaga in Spain to Newcastle via Southampton 18/05/18

Today the 18th May 2018 on a chilly but fresh morning and just before the sun was rising the Marella Cruises Ship "Marella Discovery" (ex "TUI Discovery") which was first launched in 1996 as "Splendour of the Seas" arrived here in Southampton she is on a one way voyage en route from Malaga in Spain to Newcastle Port of Tyne where she is being repositioned to undertake a series of cruises. Her last port of call was Le Havre in France . The cruise ship is fully-owned by TUI and chartered via the parent company TUI Cruises. She is operated by Marella Cruises (Thomson UK). She is first seen here just about to pass dockhead at 04:55am then passing town quay at about 05:08am from where I began filming her arrival then I went to onto Mayflower Park to continue filming & her estimated arrival time at the City Cruise Terminal was about 05:30am she is due to depart later today for Newcastle Port of Tyne at about 21:00pm & she will be making a few more return visits to Southampton sometime later this year.
