Subscribe to the Eat Sleep Cruise YouTube Channel if you love to travel and cruise the world! https://www.youtube.com/c/EatSleepCruise1?sub_confirmation=1 It is finally 2021, and we are excited to begin cruising again. While some cruise lines announced a return to cruising in Europe, there were additional cruise cancellations from the major cruise lines this past week. We cover all of the latest cruise news in this latest video detailing all of the cruise cancellations for 2021 so far. If you enjoy the video, please make sure to give it a BIG THUMBS UP! ------MSC CRUISES RESUMES SAILINGS IN EUROPE------ MSC Cruises announced it plans to resume sailings from Italy on January 24th with MSC Grandiosa. While the ship had been sailing in Italy during Fall 2020, the Italian government imposed new travel restrictions last month. This meant the cruise line had to cancel cruises. MSC Magnifica is also set to sail on February 14th, offering 11-day cruises. Yet, when MSC Cruises will resume cruising in the U.S. is still unclear. ------CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE ANNOUNCES MORE CANCELLED CRUISES------ Carnival Cruise Line issued a statement this past week extending its pause in operations in the U.S. through March 31, 202. Carnival also provided updates for Carnival Freedom, Miracle, Liberty, Sunshine, and Spirit. The brand had previously announced that their focus would be on Miami and Port Canaveral initially, followed by Galveston. ------PRINCESS CRUISES CANCELS MORE CRUISES IN 2021------ Also in the latest cruise news, Princess Cruises has extended its pause on cruise operations. As one of the first cruise lines to postpone until 2021, the cruise line has now cancelled all cruises until May 14th. This includes cruises heading to Alaska, the Caribbean, the Pacific Coast, among others. Some cruises, like in Japan, remain cancelled for even longer. ------MORE CANCELLATIONS FOR HOLLAND AMERICA LINE------ Similarly, Holland America Line has cancelled all cruises through April 30th. In this latest cruise ship news, the cruise line also made further cancellations for its ships sailing in Alaska. Now, most of these vessels have been delayed until at least June 2021. Likewise, the cruise line had already cancelled all its cruises of 8 days or longer through November 1st, 2021. ------LATEST CRUISE NEWS FOR NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE ------ At the end of 2020, Norwegian Cruise Line revealed some major cruise news. The cruise line had originally planned to begin sailings again in March 2021 on three ships. Now, the cruise line has postponed those cruises. So, March sailings on Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Encore, and Norwegian Joy have all been cancelled. Currently, the cruise line anticipates returning to service starting on April 1st. ------UPDATES ON VIKING AND VIRGIN VOYAGES FOR 2021------ Both Viking and Virgin Voyages announced further delays to cruising back in December. Viking Cruises revealed that it plans to be operational on April 1st of this year. During this latest cruise news, the company’s chairman also unveiled the Viking Health and Safety Program. The brand new cruise line Virgin Voyages was slated to debut on April 1, 2020. Given COVID-19, the cruise line cancelled and rescheduled this maiden voyage several times last year. Now, Virgin Voyages is set to debut Scarlet Lady on May 9th, 2021 from Miami. ------OTHER CRUISE LINES CANCELLED THROUGH FEBRUARY 2021------ The remaining cruise lines currently have cruises cancelled through February 28th in the U.S. These include Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and MSC Cruises. With the requirements of the CDC’s Conditional Sail Order, global outbreaks of COVID-19, and the vaccine roll-out in the U.S., it is unlikely these cruise lines will be cleared to begin passenger operations this soon. ------READ MORE ABOUT THE LATEST CANCELLATIONS------ https://eatsleepcruise.com/2020/11/when-will-we-actually-cruise-again-latest-updates-from-the-cruise-lines/ ------TRENDING VIDEOS FROM EAT SLEEP CRUISE------ AMPLIFIED FREEDOM OF THE SEAS SHIP TOUR: https://youtu.be/hTuDBWKVHso Guide to Royal Caribbean Drink Packages in 2021: https://youtu.be/uyLmEPUxYBY Top Cruise Islands to Visit in 2021: https://youtu.be/ky5g-Q_Ct58 Top New Cruise Ships 2021: https://youtu.be/XtqW0X5GrGE Make sure to SUBSCRIBE to our channel above to get the latest cruise tips, cruise reviews, packing guides, port guides, travel tips, and more.
