When she was launched back in 1991, the Royal Caribbean Monarch of the Seas was one of the largest cruise ships in the world. When she was retired in July of 2020, she was one of the smaller ships! Harmony of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, etc are all much, much bigger and feature more modern design elements and leisure activities, (like waterslides).
