On Day 2 of our Scarlet Lady Celebration Cruise, we explore Porto and share must-know tips for new cruisers — including dining reservations and what surprised us about Virgin. On day 2 of our Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady Celebration cruise through Portugal and Spain, we visited Porto for the first time. We started our day with brunch at The Wake before taking the complimentary Virgin Voyages shuttle from Leixões into Porto. We explored the city independently, visiting iconic landmarks like the Luís I Bridge and enjoying the atmosphere of this beautiful Portuguese destination. Back on board Scarlet Lady, we grabbed snacks at the Social Club, relaxed at Richard’s Rooftop, and later dined at Extra Virgin, one of Virgin Voyages’ signature restaurants. We also share an important tip for new cruisers — dining reservations should be made before or on embarkation day to avoid missing out. We also discuss how Virgin Voyages compares to traditional cruise lines, including some surprising similarities you might not expect. As part of the Celebration Cruise challenge, we collected 3 cocktail stamps on day 2, with drinks ranging from delicious to disappointing.
