Day 3 aboard the Carnival Spirit turned into one of the most memorable days of our 15‑day Panama Canal cruise! From stormy seas and surprise wildlife sightings to sunshine, tea time, and an unforgettable Chef’s Table anniversary dinner — this sea day had everything. We start the morning with gloomy weather and rough waves, but things take a magical turn when Adam spots porpoises swimming alongside the ship. After breakfast, Sam dives into work while Adam checks out the casino and attends a fascinating whale seminar with the ship’s naturalist. As the weather clears, we enjoy a burst of sunshine on deck, fresh cookies delivered to the cabin, and a relaxing tea time filled with sandwiches, lemon cake, and chocolate treats. Rainbows even make an appearance as we sail south. The highlight of the day? Our Chef’s Table experience — the perfect way to celebrate our 18‑year anniversary. We tour the galley during peak dinner service, watch a caramel demo, and enjoy multiple beautifully crafted courses, from duck cigars and scallops to lamb, lobster, and an incredible chocolate forest dessert.
