Ovation of the Seas at sea off Christchurch New Zealand November 2022

On our windy approach to visit Christchurch the Captain notified all passengers that the ship will be continuing onto Wellington without docking at Lyttleton Harbour due to excessively strong winds. Naturally everybody was disappointed but that's how it goes in the cruise industry. This is the first time that this has happened to me personally and having visited Christchurch on a previous cruise I accepted the disappointment.
