Ovation of the Seas: Sitka Arrival & Departure on May 17th, 2019

On May 17th the Ovation of the Seas made her inaugural visit to Sika. This special visit will be the Ovation of they Seas' only visit to the port, but they built a brand new pier to allow her to dock. The location of the dock kept her a bit farther from the city itself, but complimentary busses were provided to ensure easy access to the area. On her journey in she sailed through beautiful tranquil waters but heavy fog and passing showers obscured much of the beauty that surrounded her just off the sides of the ship. Once docked guests had all day to explore the destination as the weather improved. By the time she was ready to leave things were beautiful in the port offering a clear departure with views of all the snow capped mountains in the area and forests that covered the shorelines.
