Are Promenade decks onboard cruise ships a thing of the past? Well, not entirely (P&O Iona mad Arvia have them) but many modern day cruise ships lack the traditional circuits on promenade deck affording fabulous views all the way around the ship. P&O Ventura has a great promenade deck with direct access to the open air and ocean views. You can walk almost an entire circuit on promenade deck itself, but the very front of the ship is accessed by climbing about 20 stairs. You’ll be awarded by wonderful forward facing views from the famous ‘clamshell’ if you do! 3.5 laps of promenade deck equate to 1 mile, by the way! So let’s get our walking shoes on and do a full circuit of this deck and the clamshell so you can see what Ventura’s prom deck and clamshell have to offer!
