--~-- Port of New Orleans Reopened: As of 6AM EST this morning, July 14, 2019, the Lower Mississippi River was opened to all river traffic which is the prelude to reopening the Port of New Orleans for cruise ship traffic. The port has been closed several days due to Tropical Storm Barry. Unfortunately, the Port of Mobile remains closed and the Carnival Fantasy remains at sea waiting on the port opening. Carnival has said the Fantasy would get in today, unload, reload and sail on the next cruise itinerary, a four day cruise with a stop in Cozumel. Information will be posted later today as soon as it is available.
