We walk from the ship to Playa del Oro (Gold Beach) in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It's only about half a mile. Here is some information from viewer Edward: The first hotel you came across when you got to the beach is the Crown Paradise, this is a family all inclusive with a time share component. Beside it is the Crown Paradise Golden, Adult only all inclusive. You came up to the pool area of this hotel, I have stayed there many times and had great vacations. Beside the Golden is the Vallarta Torre is a hotel/time share property and then the three Icon towers. These are high end condominiums. Beside the Icon is the Hilton Puerto Vallarta with the family section at the front and the Adult only section at the back and that is called the Hacienda at Hilton Puerto Vallarta. The big thatched restaurant is the beginning of the Krystal hotel property. This runs along the beach to the high end condominium project called Peninsula complex. Next to it the river where, if you crossed you could have walked all the way to the Malecon. Playa De Oro is one of the first areas to be developed and is the nicest beach South of the Cruise ship terminal.
