"Saga Ruby" arrives back in Southampton following sea trials - 17/02/2013

Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th February 2013 saw the troubled Saga Cruises' "Saga Ruby" move under her own power for the first time to undertake sea trials following repairs to her broken crankshaft which has kept her laid-up in Southampton Docks since January 7th. After a first failed attempt at 09:00 on the 16th, she finally left Southampton at 17:00 and returned on the 17th at 12:15. In this video, we see "Saga Ruby" arriving back into Southampton from the trials and docking at the 'City' Cruise Terminal. Assistance was provided by the tugs "Wyestorm" & "Apex". Viewed from Mayflower Park. All being well, "Saga Ruby" will be departing on a revised cruise to South Africa on Wednesday 20th February returning to Portsmouth on April 27th.
