The handsome AMERIKANIS, the former KENYA CASTLE would only have three more active years of service before being laid up at Elefsina, Greece in 1996. She would sit for five years, then in 2001, sailed off to Alang, India, where she was broken up at the ripe old age of 49. A popular cruise ship in her AMERIKANIS configuration, she was one of the first vessels to feature televisions in her staterooms.
