When I attended the Scarlet Lady travel advisor preview in Miami on September 27, 2021, I ran into a problem with water. It was a hot, sunny day in the summer in Miami and I didn't bring a water bottle with me for the trip. Buried deep in the Virgin Voyages website was a suggestion for bringing a water bottle but I must have forgotten when packing for that trip. I spent the entire day of the tour going from bar to bar on the ship asking for a glass of water. Virgin Voyages, to me, has a water problem. They don't sell water on their ship, at all, in any format. They have drink stations in the galley, as you'll see in episode 14 of the vlog from our November 2021 cruise, and they have special water stations on the upper deck, and that's it. I understand the sustainability push and the decision to not provide/sell plastic bottles of water, but carton or canned water is a different story. We cruised with Royal Caribbean again in January 2022 on the Mariner of the Seas and they sold CANNED water in the pre-cruise planner and at all of the bars on the ship during the cruise. Because of the Virgin Voyages policy on water, for our November 2021 cruise on the Scarlet Lady, I had to bring a half-gallon Yeti cooler to fill up every night in the galley. Not something I've ever had to do before and will not likely do again.
