About our Bacon Score methodology
YouTube Video Description

During our stop in Kristiansand, Norway, we visited an open-air museum, walked around the old town and visited the Fish Market, an old wharf area that has been revitalized with restaurants and shops. First, we visited Kristiansand Museum, an open-air museum with houses and buildings from the 1400's to the 1600's, showing how people in the area lived in the past. One complete farm has three-story storage buildings, a house, a barn, even a sauna. The progression of buildings is obvious where an older house has a fireplace in the center and a hole in the roof for smoke and a newer one has a chimney so the smoke didn't disturb the house and it could be painted. There is also main street, with the wealthy shipping merchant house across from the poorer side of the street where they kept animals and had outhouses. Next, we visited the Old Town including Kristiansand Cathedral or Kristiansand Domkirke. The square around the cathedral was vibrant with such a great vibe on market day. We saw older architecture include a house with 'gossip mirrors' that could be used to spy on the neighbourhood. Before going back to the cruise ship, we visited the fish market area, an old wharf area that now houses restaurants. It was so busy, there was a great buzz. It was the perfect place for an ice cream and to watch the boats come and go. Kristiansand is an amazing city and well worth a visit. #travel #cruise #cruisenorwegian #norway #norwaytravel #kristiansand #museum #openairmuseum #oldtown #cathedral Music from YouTube Audio Library Chapters 00:00 Introduction 00:10 Kristiansand Open-Air Museum 10:56 Walk Around the Old Town and Cathedral 15:59 Fish Market or Old Wharf Area 17:55 Leaving Kristiansand
