Creator's Key Takeaways

Single Rider at Disney World splits you up from your party, which can give you a much shorter wait, but that's not guaranteed.

I got in line at 11:08 and within just 1 minute, I was at Pose X-wing and the Transport. Amazing.

I skipped big portions of the pre-show, both the Ray briefing and the shuttle transportation scene where you get captured with Beck, which are two really key parts of the entire attraction experience.

A posted standby wait time of 60 minutes was cut down to 14 minutes in exchange for missing two big portions of the experience.

Creator's Tips & Advice

Use Single Rider for a shorter wait if you don't mind skipping pre-show scenes.
Avoid Single Rider if it's your first time on Rise of the Resistance to experience the full attraction.

QIs Single Rider on Rise of the Resistance worth it?

☝️Is Single Rider on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney World worth it? I tested it out, and discovered there are some huge upsides and huge downsides. Single Rider is one of my favorite line strategies at Disney World, because it offers you a shorter wait in exchange for splitting you up from your group. But that shorter wait is not guaranteed, and sometimes the wait can be just as long (I’m looking at you Rock N Roller Coaster). Let’s start with the good for Single Rider at Rise. When I went, the posted wait was 60 minutes. I hopped in the Single Rider line at 11:08 and was in the Star Destroyer hangar by 11:11 😳 Just 3 minutes after getting in line. I was also on the ride vehicle by 11:22, and off the ride by 11:28. So just 14 minutes in line, and 20 minutes for the entire experience. Single Rider was a serious time saver when I went. Sounds amazing, right? But here’s the catch: I skipped both the Rey briefing and the shuttle scene with Bek — two key parts of the attraction experience. I also had to go through a backstage hallway. That’s a lot of the storytelling and immersion gone. Plus, there is some luck that goes into exactly how much time you’ll save. So here’s my recommendation First time riding? Skip Single Rider. You’ll miss too much of what makes Rise a world-class attraction. Already been on it? Single Rider might be the pro move to save serious time.
