Our Tokyo adventure begins! Today Julie and I dive straight into Shinjuku, one of the busiest, brightest, and most unbelievable districts in Japan. Neon lights, huge crossings, hidden alleyways, amazing food… and yes, more vending machines than we could ever drink from! We kick off our first full day walking through Shinjuku Station (easy to get lost… we might’ve done that), then wander out into the city where the real magic hits you: skyscrapers towering overhead, tiny ramen bars tucked into corners, quirky shops, and that classic Tokyo buzz you can feel right through your shoes. Along the way we explore Omoide Yokocho, grab some snacks, and check out the famous Kabukicho area with its iconic Godzilla head peeking over the buildings. We also find peaceful moments in Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, a complete escape from the madness outside. Fun fact: Shinjuku Station handles over 3.5 million passengers a day, making it the busiest train station in the world. No wonder we needed a map… and a break… and maybe another break. If you’re planning a trip to Tokyo, want to explore Shinjuku, or just enjoy watching a couple wander around looking amazed at absolutely everything — this vlog’s for you! It’s our Day 1, and Japan already has us completely hooked. 👍 Like, comment and subscribe — your support keeps us travelling, filming, and sharing our adventures with you!
