8 hours in Tortola? A member of the cruise ship staff advised us to skip the cruise port shops and taxi rank and explore the small town’s back streets. In terms of beaches she advised us to go to Brewers Bay rather than the popular Cane Garden beach which is where the tour excursions head. We took her advise and didn’t regret it. A fabulous day which didn’t cost the earth. The open taxi driven by Yankee Doodle was fun and he waited patiently reading his newspaper at Brewers Bay whilst we had fun in this tropical paradise. It’s a beautiful place.
