--~-- Weather dominates Travel and Cruise Industry News, July 25, 2020. Hurricane Hanna is expected to hit the Texas coastline Saturday afternoon, or Saturday evening. Landfall is expected south of Corpus Christi with wind, heavy rainfall and significant storm surge. Meanwhile, Hurricane Douglas continues to take aim at the Hawaiian Islands and is projected to arrive late Saturday night or Sunday morning. Once a major hurricane, Douglas has started to weaken but will still impact the islands even if she stays offshore. Tropical Storm Gonzalo has weakened plus is entering cooler waters which will enhance the weakening. However, Gonzalo is expected to produce heavy rainfall over portions of the southern Windward Islands which could lead to flash flooding. In addition, a new tropical wave is forming several hundred miles south of the Cabo Verde Islands which is likely to develop into at least a tropical depression by early next week.
