Where is Jason? Well, he gave up his spot on this trip so I could take our grandaughter Sophia on her first trip to Alaska! After a very long travel day, we arrive in Anchorage... then jump in our rental car and head two hours north to Willow where we are staying at the Hatchers Pass Castle... yes, there is a castle up here! The next day, it's time for our ATV tour!! This is why we are up in this area. Let me tell you, this was AMAZING!!! The ATV tour was so much fun! And we could not ask for more beautiful scenery!!! We drove through a creek, went mud ridding, rock climbing and panning for gold... such an incredible excursion!!! I am SO GLAD we did this!!! This is the most spectacular drive I have ever made! The longer you drive down the pass the more incredible the views get... and there is a lake at the top that was still partially frozen... in July!
