Valiant Lady: Marina di Carrara Italy on October 4th, 2022 (with Vision of the Seas)

On October 2nd Virgin Voyages' Valiant Lady set sail on a 7 night Irresistible Med Voyage from Barcelona Spain. Sailing round trip from Barcelona she will make stops in France, Italy, and Ibiza before returning home. This was her second to last voyage in Europe for the season. October 4th, after stopping in Toulon France, she reached her second port of call with a stop in Marina di Carrara Italy. With the first light in the sky the Valiant Lady arrived to the port for her 8AM docking. At the time the Vision of the Seas was already in port having arrived for 7AM. Having the Italian Alps on the horizon the sun was blocked out until she was nearly along side the pier, at which point its bright light crested over the mountain peaks. Scheduled to depart at 8:00 PM the sun had already set when the Valiant Lady prepared for her departure. Despite the cover of darkness the bright lights of the ship lit the surroundings to reveal everyone that came out to witness her final departure of the year.
