Not a usual cruise port, but the repositioning route on the Voyager OTS stopped in Walvis Bay, Namibia. We booked a private-group tour and it did not disappoint. We toured through the town of Walvis Bay, Salt Flats, Swakopmund, Moon Valley, Oasis in Moon Valley, some wild vegetation, and Dune 7 along with being entertained by a local tribe performing a welcome dance. Even though we just toured one day, it was not what I expected as I have been thought Africa and it varies so much. Still has a South African feel, but we enjoyed our time. The tour company did an excellent job and was reasonable. A VISA is required and must be accomplished prior to arrival electronically and easy. One issue is Minors are charged full rate as adults receive a cruise passenger discount. Have you been to Namibia, leave your experience below.
