Creator's Key Takeaways
It's a gorgeous morning. Not too hot yet, but it's supposed to be a scorcher today, so we have to be ready for that.
This is the biggest fortification of the Americas. This the Christopher Fortress. They started building in 1634, right? And it took them around 150 years to finish building.
Well, our walking tour is continuing to be a bus tour because they can't seem to find a place to put the bus. So, we're just driving around San.
It was a lot, but it was good. Yeah, it was really good.

Join us as we disembark Princess Cruises’ Sky Princess in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and spend a full day uncovering Old San Juan’s top attractions—from the towering Castillo San Felipe del Morro to the famous blue cobblestone streets—before returning onboard for a unexpected dinner plan and a performance of “Spotlight Bar” 🎤 🛳️ We stepped off Sky Princess just steps away from the walled city of Old San Juan 🚶♀️ 🚌 Our day began with an unexpected bus ride—though parking was tricky, it gave us a mini driving tour past La Fortaleza (Governor’s Mansion) and the vibrant Capitol Building. 🏰 Castillo San Felipe del Morro, or “El Morro,” is a 16th-century citadel that guarded San Juan Bay with 140 ft towers and 18–25 ft thick walls, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we explored six levels of ramparts, tunnels, and garitas (sentry boxes) while soaking in panoramic ocean views 🌊 ⛪ Next, we visited the Metropolitan Cathedral-Basilica of Saint John the Baptist, founded in 1521 and the oldest purpose-built cathedral in the Americas, housing the tomb of explorer Juan Ponce de León. 🏛️ We wandered through the restored Ballajá Barracks (1854–1864), once home to Spanish regiments and now housing the Museum of the Americas, flamenco studios, and cafés. 💙 Everywhere we looked, the streets were paved with the iconic blue cobblestones, made from ship ballast brought over from Europe in the 1500s—each stone telling centuries of colonial history. 🍽️ After an amazing lunch where we tried mofongo at Café El Punto, we headed back onboard for a much‑needed rest. We then ventured out for an authentic Puerto Rican dinner—but time slipped away due to a not so great restaurant experience, so we indulged in the ship’s buffet instead. 🎤 We capped the night with “Spotlight Bar,” Princess Cruises’ Broadway‑caliber production featuring live singers, dancers, and a modern playlist. The set’s cozy bar vibe had us singing in our seats! 👍 If you enjoyed this adventure, please LIKE the video and SUBSCRIBE 🔔 so you never miss our upcoming cruise explorations! ______________ You can find some of our real time updates on our socials: https://instagram.com/onacruise_with_wil_and_stephen?igshid=MzMyNGUyNmU2YQ%3D%3D&utm_source=qr https://www.facebook.com/OnACruiseWithWilandStephen?mibextid=LQQJ4d _______________ Thank you for watching and we will see you in our next video! #SkyPrincess #OldSanJuan #PuertoRico #CruiseVlog #TravelVlog #HistoricSanJuan #PrincessCruises #sanjuan
