On Day 8 we got to visit the wonderful Icelandic Town of Akureyri. We explored the town independently which was very easy! We took a pre-booked whale watching excursion near the arctic circle. We enjoy a wonderful night on entertainment onboard and experience some amazing food. The ship had an occupancy of 3,500 during the voyage and we expected it to be busy as this was during the school holidays. During this cruise we visited a number of ports in Norway and Iceland over 14 nights. We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021.
