The West Somerset Railway's 'SPRING STEAM GALA' from Thursday 26th-Sunday 29th March 2015 had the theme of 'Steam in South Wales' featuring appropriate locomotives that would've worked in South Wales during steam days. Locomotives featured were... - BR 'Britannia'-class 4-6-2 No.70000 "Britannia" (running as No.70021 "Morning Star"). - BR(M) 'Ivatt' 2MT-class 2-6-0 No.46521 (visiting from the Great Central Railway). - GWR 4200-class 2-8-0T No.4270 (visiting from the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway). - GWR 5600-class 0-6-2T No.5643 (visiting from The Furness Trust & Ribble Steam Railway). - GWR 4575-class 'Small Prairie' 2-6-2T No.5542. - GWR 2884-class 2-8-0 No.3850 (last WSR Spring Gala appearance). - GWR 4900-class 'Hall' 4-6-0 No.4936 "Kinlet Hall". - GWR 6959-class 'Modified Hall' 4-6-0 No.6960 "Raveningham Hall". - BR(W) 7800-class 'Manor' 4-6-0 No.7828 "Odney Manor". - BR(W) 5101-class 'Large Prairie' 2-6-2T No.4160. - 'Peckett' 0-4-0ST W/No.1788 "Kilmersdon" (performing shunting demonstrations at Washford). No.5643 was a late replacement for classmate No.6695 which was involved in an incident near Wareham when the low-loader carrying it from the Swanage Railway collapsed.
