In Bitung, we quickly learned that cruise ships are a rare sight — they only get about three visits a year! Locals were so warm and friendly — waving, honking, asking for selfies, and even our autographs. We honestly felt like celebrities! 🤯 But this visit also opened our eyes to real-world contrasts. We noticed heavy litter in the streets and rivers, and even witnessed a young child toss his drink box straight into the ocean while his mom watched.
