Creator's Key Takeaways

I've earned the right to say with full confidence cruising is one of the smartest travel decisions you can make.

Modern travel isn't just expensive anymore. It's becoming actively hostile, arbitrary, exhausting, and overpriced.

You arrive at the port, you check in once, you unpack once. That's it.

Cruising can reduce flying dramatically.

Creator's Tips & Advice

Combine several cruises from the same or nearby ports to reduce flying.
Choose the right cruise tier (mass market, premium, luxury) based on your preferences.
Compare the total value of a cruise day to a hotel stay in a major city.

YouTube Video Description

After visiting more than 60 countries and taking over a dozen cruises, I've come to a conclusion I never expected to make: Cruising may be one of the smartest ways to travel in 2026. Modern travel has become increasingly expensive, fragmented, and stressful. Airlines charge extra for everything, hotels can easily cost $250–300 per night before breakfast, Wi-Fi or transport, and even a simple multi-city trip often feels like project management with scenery. In this video, I break down why cruising solves many of these problems and why I've increasingly found myself choosing ships over traditional travel. I also explain the three main cruise tiers—mass market, premium, and luxury—and why choosing the wrong cruise line can completely change your opinion of cruising. Some of my personal favourites include: Celebrity Cruises – premium cruising done properly, with excellent food, beautiful ships, thoughtful design, and a consistently high-quality onboard experience. Virgin Voyages – adults-only cruising with the best food I've experienced at sea, a modern atmosphere, and a completely different approach to cruising. Princess Cruises – a more traditional cruise experience with fantastic itineraries, excellent service, and a relaxed onboard atmosphere. Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) – my favourite mass-market cruise line, offering flexibility, good entertainment, and strong overall value. Do you agree that cruising is becoming one of the best values in travel, or am I completely wrong?
