In this video, I share my personal review of our 14-day Panama Canal cruise onboard the Celebrity Summit. Join me as I discuss the highlights and challenges of this incredible journey. Facts About the Panama Canal: The Panama Canal is a 50-mile long artificial waterway connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. It took over ten years to construct and was officially opened on August 15, 1914. The canal saves ships approximately 8,000 nautical miles compared to the journey around the southern tip of South America. About the Celebrity Summit: The Celebrity Summit is a Millennium-class cruise ship, part of Celebrity Cruises. It features a gross tonnage of 90,940 and can accommodate around 2,158 passengers. The ship underwent a significant modernization in 2019, enhancing its amenities and staterooms. Ship and Appearance: My impressions of the ship’s layout, décor, and overall ambiance. Stateroom: A look at my Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Verandah, Cabin #6045. Comfort, space, and amenities provided. Staff and Crew: My experience with the service quality and friendliness of the staff and crew onboard. Entertainment: An overview of the entertainment options, including shows, activities, and more. Food: My thoughts on the dining experiences, from main dining rooms to specialty restaurants like the Tuscan Grille and Le Petit Chef. Cruise Experience: How I coped with 14 days at sea, including only four port days and one Panama Canal transit day. Tips for making the most out of long sea days. Would I do it again?
