In this video, I fill you in on how 2021 worked out for my YouTube channel. I start be reviewing the five most-watched videos on my channel in 2021, and tell you a little bit about the backstory for each of the videos. Then I reveal which of the new videos that I made in 2021 got the most views... and I tackle the question of whether or not any of my new videos will become big hits. Next, I talk about the new model train equipment that I added to my collection in 2021... including one train that is so new that I haven't even made a video about it yet: the Oscar Mayer Wiener train! To conclude the video, I share the overall summary for my YouTube channel in 2021: 31 million views, over one million hours of watch time, 343 million views since the channel began 13 years ago, and higher ad revenue than any previous year, in spite of overall views being significantly less than previous years. By the way, that's not some fancy green-screen effect with the snowy scene behind me. I was not in some nice warm studio with a green screen behind me. I was out on the patio in my back yard, protected by a nice roof overhang above me. It was cold, and actually snowing behind me. No effects... the real thing!
