The seaside resort of Brighton on the south coast of the UK is only a 50-minute trip from London (Victoria station has the quickest trains) and makes a great and easy daytrip from the UK capital as well as a brilliant place to stay for much longer. This video gives 6 reasons why Brighton is the best seaside resort and holiday town in the UK - although in truth there are MANY more than 6 reasons to give. But these are my top ones - they include the pleasure Palace Pier (complete with thrill rides), the beach (yes it is pebbles, but I like that as it means sand doesn't get stuck in your hair), the promenade, the shopping (I love the Lanes and North Laine areas) and the Royal Pavilion which has great history - it was Queen Victoria's favourite palace. The Georgian architecture and facades are also fabulous and take you back in time. Watch the video and you'll see what I mean. Nothing beats a fix of fresh, invigorating seaside air and Brighton has some of the best!!
