Man, what a crazy weekend it was. It had been raining for three days prior to Saturdays sail away. The rainy pattern continued into Saturday night and Sunday early afternoon. Paradise had a uneventful sail away, but what happened with Carnival Miracle was crazy! A strong thunderstorm blew in out of no where and nudged the ship off the pier just enough to disconnect the gangway from its position on the deck of the ship. It left a few dozen people stuck on the gangway, and some port employees, such as myself, stuck on the ship!
