ALASKA CRUISE pt 1 | Discovery Princess embarkation day | exploring the ship and balcony cabin tour

Welcome to embarkation day of our Discovery Princess Alaska 2023 cruise series. In this video we wake up early and enjoy our hotel pool area before getting ready and heading to pier 91 to join Discovery Princess. Embarkation was seamless and we were onboard within 25 minutes of arriving at the port. As this is our first cruise from a US port, we were very impressed. Once onboard we explore some of the ship, have lunch in Gigi’s pizzeria and check out our cabin. We show you around cabin C609, a standard balcony cabin on deck 10. We really liked this cabin and felt there was plenty of room for the two of us for a week with plenty of storage for all our cases we took with us! We watch sail away from our balcony before heading to the MDR for our first dinner onboard. The food was good but as with any embarkation day it was a little hectic with the queues.
