I visit ancient Delos Island, just a few miles from Mykonos, Greece during a port call on the brand new Celebrity Apex. The day begins with a stunning sunrise as the Celebrity Apex arrives in Mykonos, Greece. I soon depart the Apex and join a ferry boat over to the ancient island of Delos. Delos is thought to be the birthplace of Greek gods Apollo and Artemis. The island was a booming civilization in the second century B.C. I show you around the ruins and tell you of their significance to the people of Greece. The Celebrity Apex is Celebrity Cruises' brand new luxury ship, currently sailing its inaugural season in Europe through the fall of 2021. I embarked on the cruise from Athens, Greece, and will be visiting Mykonos, Rhodes, Dubrovnik, and Santorini on the 7-day voyage. This is my fifth solo cruise.
