Currently undergoing a loving restoration in Stockton, California, the 1955-built mini-liner/cruise ship AURORA has had a long and sometimes challenged life. In 1994, I rented a small boat in Los Angeles harbor to get up close to the ship, which had spent several years mysteriously anchored in the outer harbors of Long Beach and Los Angeles. At that time, she was called FAITHFUL and had just been painted dark blue for use as a Christian supply and missionary ship, a role that she never got to fulfill. In this five minute clip, we circle and get as close to the ship as we can, capturing her beautiful lines on a sunny but cool afternoon. #aurorarestorationproject #classiccruiseships #smallcruiseships #wappenvonhamburg #delosship #xanaduship #faiithfulship
