Today our cruise tips for travellers is going to focus on the thermal suite not the spa services like massages. The thermal spa costs extra but is open for all guests across all cabin categories to enjoy some extra relaxation. One of our cruise tips for first timers is to check out the spa on the first day of your cruise. They will usually tour you around telling you about services and take you through the thermal suite. They are often near the bottom of the ship and if you didn't go looking you might miss it. We go through 6 cruise lines and provide cruise tips for each one. We go through the pros and cons of each so you can decide if you want to spend money on their thermal spa. Some of the common features in a cruise thermal spa is a sauna, steam room, salt room, and hot tubs. Some cruise lines bring in unique features like Celebrity Cruise ship which has Aqua Class and others keep it very minimalist like on the Wonder of the seas cruise ship. Specifically when it comes to booking days at the spa our cruise tips and tricks is to book it on a port day. If you know there is a port you won't be spending a lot of time at they are much quieter than during sea days. We really noticed this at Virgin Voyages thermal suite as they sell passes, packages and it can get very busy even with people booking a 3 hour window.
