From a Windstar cruise port stop on Bocas del Toro, I joined a powerboat excursion run by Nayo Bocas Tours. The tour was billed as an trip to Starfish Beach and Bird Island; however, the destination for the bird watching portion was changed to another location--a channel on the north side of the island that was a haven for birds. Our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. It was a beautiful day on placid waters. Starfish Beach is gorgeous with an abundance of starfish in the shallow waters.
