Creator's Key Takeaways
Beautiful teal blue water. And we're going to go do some snorkeling today and swimming at Chankanaab.
The snorkeling was pretty good. We saw fish, but the waters were rough. But it was super super clear.
We still had a lot of fun. And we got a couple of souvenirs from one of the 500 vendors that try to sell you things.
It was a good day. I'm tired. I'm hungry.

Day 3 on the Carnival Breeze - Cozumel, Mexico. Had breakfast at the Lido Market Place. Docked at the port of Cozumel and seeing the beautiful blue waters was really amazing. We had made reservations to the Chankanaab Park to do some snorkeling and we wanted to go at our own pace instead of doing the excursion through Carnival. We also wanted to do some souvenir shopping and we knew we would have a large selection of shops to chose from. Chankanaab was really nice and clean and not crowded. We took a taxi from the port area and it was about a 10 minute ride for $12, not bad at all. We had a waiter who made sure to check on us all the time. The water was initially cold when we were getting in and it was a little bit choppy but once we got in and moved away from the rocky shoreline, it was fine. It was super clear and we saw quite a few fish come up close to us. We went on our very first cruise during Halloween 2021. It was a 5 night cruise on the Carnival Breeze out of Galveston. We left the day before and spent the night in Galveston so that we were not rushed that Saturday and we had an amazing time. We knew that all the safety protocols were in place and that made us feel very safe. Every single person we came across, from the crew in the cruise terminal to the crew on the ship and the passengers were so nice and everyone was just really happy. Our cruise departed Galveston on Saturday Oct. 30th in the afternoon and it was so much fun being able to watch the Sail Away party. We had reserved a Cove balcony because we had heard a lot of good things about those. They are very close to the water and seem a lot more private than the balconies on the upper floors. We made our reservations for this trip in September last year, over 400 days prior to the start of trip and we were not sure if it was ever going to happen. The cruise industry was completely shut down from March of 2020 and did not get started again until July 2021. It was a very exciting trip for us for a couple of reasons. It was our very first cruise and cruising had restarted without any issues, Itinerary was: Day 1 - Embarkation - Leaving Galveston Day 2 - Sea Day Day 3 - Cozumel Mexico Day 4 - Progresso (Yucatan) Mexico Day 5 - Sea Day Day 6 - Back in Galveston Will have more videos to come soon hopefully!
