CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES, did their best SCROOGE impersonation, dramatically increasing the price of their drink package on 6 day or longer cruises by almost 18% with no added benefits to the current package. Why would they give consumers no warning of the price increase or allow them a date to purchase the program at the old price? They have done that in the past, but this time the BIG increase in price came with little or no warning. For those who enjoy mixed drinks, the break even point for making the package 'worth it' is SIX quality cocktails, not difficult to do for many...but will it change your mind on purchasing the drink package?
