We had a great time in Costa Maya and it was our very first time renting a golf cart there! We booked the golf cart through Mayahual Red Shirts Golf Cart, through Facebook Messenger. We recommend you reserve your cart well in advance as they are very popular. The rates vary between $60 to $120 for the day rental, depending on the type of cart you select (4 or 6 passenger, old or new). Be sure to walk all the way out to the back of the port area, past all the shops and pools and you will see their little kiosk hut on the right. You will be asked to leave a deposit, either $50 or your Sail & Sign card and when you return the cart, you will get it back. They provide you with a map showing all the recommended places they work with as well as the path to follow on the road. The process was really easy and we highly recommend them. Here is one of their videos showing some good information: https://youtu.be/AbKhtg9if50?si=SFuG3dHIEGdoF9Ty We made our way to Playa Luna's, which was a place on their map, and that place was so relaxing and nice. We got in the water there, we were lucky it was really clear and there were no waves or seaweed. After having some drinks, we headed over to the Krazy Lobster and had some delicious food and shrimp tacos. After lunch, we made our way back to the ship and watched one of the new shows, Soulbound and then had an amazing dinner at Chi Bang. We tried the Chinese items and they were really good and flavorful. After dinner we saw the Rio Carnival show again since we wanted to get some good seats at the Center Stage in order to watch the Mardi Gras Parade/Show. It was a great fun filled day! 00:00 Intro 00:13 Opening Intro 00:26 Welcome to Costa Maya 00:41 Mayahual Red Shirts Golf Carts Facebook page 00:49 Voladores flyers 01:09 How to get to Red Shirts from the Port area 01:33 In the golf cart! 01:55 Free map provided with a lot of good information 02:07 And we're off to explore 03:01 First stop at the beer house for some drinks for the road! 03:27 Easy driving 03:48 Driving near Playa Lunas 05:09 Beautiful Playa Lunas 06:57 Leaving Playa Lunas and heading to Krazy Lobster 07:19 Krazy Lobster and delicious lunch 09:00 Shops 09:20 Heading back to ship 09:50 Scary ropes course 09:58 Souldbound show 10:22 Dinner at ChiBang delicious Chinese food 10:52 Front row seats at the Rio Carnival Show 12:01 Mardi Gras show and parade #carnivaljubilee #cruise #carnival
