Carnival Luminosa launches this fall: See what's MISSING from the newest Carnival Cruise Line Ship!

Carnival Cruise Lines announced in June 2021 that they would be taking over a ship from sister company Costa Cruises in 2022. Originally slated to be the Costa Magica, the cruise line surprised several in the cruise community in June 2022 by announcing that they would instead be welcoming the Costa Luminosa to their fleet. Costa Luminosa completed her final trip for Costa Cruise Lines on September 4, 2022. Now, she is in dry dock to be transformed into the Carnival Luminosa. Carnival Cruise Lines shared that due to the quick turn of the ship to get it into operation for Carnival, she won't have all of the features and venues cruisers have come to expect from Carnival Cruise Lines. We scoured the deck plans, press releases, and news posts to gather the latest about this ship. We share what's coming to the Carnival Luminosa and what's notably MISSING from this newest vessel in the Carnival Fleet. The Costa Luminosa is a modified Spirit-class ship (think Carnival Legend, Carnival Miracle, Carnival Pride, and of course, Carnival Spirit). It's a hybrid between the Spirit-class and Vista-class, however, most closely resembles the Spirit-class ships. What are your thoughts about the changes?
