If one of your cruise ship stops at Puerto Vallarta, you defiantly should do the Rhythems Of The Nights excursion. I booked it through Carnival at the price of $175 per person and is well worth it. The minimum age to go on this excursion is, six years of age on up. The excursion is approximately five hours long. It's an evening of entertainment followed by a gourmet candle-lit buffet style dinner. It has a Cirques Du Soleil vibe that's high energy with live music. You take a 45-minute scenic cruise to Las Caletas. You're going to be walking uphill and on uneven paths ways. So have your walking shoes on.
