This was our first of three stops on the Carnival Paradise May 16, 2023. This was the Carnival Paradise's first ever 6 day cruise from Tampa. Getting off the ship in Key West was a long wait standing in the hallway on deck 4. This was because Key West will only let them put out one gangway. While in Key West we talked to a lot of the locals who work in the bars and shops. They depend on tourist and love the ships coming in. They are not happy with the city counsel in Key West. What they told us was the rich people who MIGRATED to key west as tourist, bought property, put millions into it, now they don't want the cruise ships or even tourist there for that matter. They say the ships block the sunset on the west side of the island. I have been to Key West many times on a cruise ship, and we have always left the island by 3pm.
