Carnival Splendor Mexican Riviera Vlog - Day 1 Spa Tour

Hi Cruisers! It's day one of our awesome Carnival Splendor Mexican Riviera Cruise, and we've got a long, but hopefully fun and tip filled cruise vlog for you. First, we tried to use Apple's pricey AirPods for some of the audio, and it just sounds weird. Second, you may have noticed that in some of our videos I say "Excited" alot. Well, let's just say I haven't managed to dial that back just yet. In my defense I WAS super excited. And finally, I was chewing gum in the spa tour, and it just looks bad. Super sorry about all that. On with the det's! We started our day 1 cruise vlog with a trip to the newly remodeled Long Beach cruise terminal, and I offered up tips on how to not get lost in this confusing area ... and I got lost. Once we finally got to the port, things went swimmingly. In fact, things went so well we didn't even have time to sit down really before being shuttled off to the gangway. The new terminal is running so smoothly! When we got aboard most of the crew we ran into tried to usher us off to the buffet. Normally we try to avoid the first day buffet crowds, but the crew was pretty relentless in suggesting we "eat first". We gave in, and headed to our new secret dining spot on the Splendor. You'll want to see this spot if you will be cruising on the Splendor any time soon. Then we took our son to check out the kids club. We booked a spa cabin on the Splendor for this cruise, and we were anxious to check out the perks that go along with this option, so we headed up to the spa for a tour. Even if you don't book a spa cabin on the Splendor you should check out the tour. It was super cool seeing all the features of the spa. Not only that, but the staff was really friendly and fun. After a bit of ship exploring, and a few muster false alarms (my fault), it was sail away time. This is always fun on Carnival, and Carnival Splendor was no exception. The crew really goes all out trying to make sail away fun. You can see an example of this at the start of the sail away sequence with JJ's high flying moves.
