--~-- My guest on the latest episode of Chillie Chats is our own Aimee Rogers, of Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Her awesome story of the ss Britanis, including ghosts, is the subject of today's chat. We went on the Britanis which was built in 1932. It was a reconverted ocean liner also used as a troop ship during World War II. It survived an attack by German dive bombers and supposedly had 2 ghosts on it. It was owned by Chandris Fantasy which was the budget arm of Celebrity Cruises at the time. We went on it, not expecting a lot, because it was very cheap but it was wonderful. The crew loved their ship and enjoyed talking about its history. It was only about 26,000 tons and there were just a few hundred people on it. Aimee has over 50 cruises under her belt and is chomping at the bit to get started again.
