Coast Guard Medevac from Carnival Spirit

A US Coast Guard helicopter evacuated a 77-year-old woman from Carnival Spirit when the ship was 230 miles southwest of San Diego on Saturday, November 26, 2011. In the video you first see the rescue swimmer being lowered to the deck of the ship to assist in the hoists. The first person being hoisted is a nurse from the ship, followed by the patient and finally the rescue swimmer is retrieved.
