Costa Maya cruise port itself is fantastic, with great shops, restaurants and things to do right at the port. It was about an hour's drive from Costa Maya cruise port to the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins. We really loved seeing a Mayan city for the first time! It was great learning about the history of Chacchoben and the Mayan people. If you're interested in doing an excursion, the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins are definitely worth it. We really enjoyed our Chacchoben Mayan Ruins cruise excursion and our visit to Costa Maya, Mexico!
