We have just a few hours in Vancouver, BC the day before we embark on our first cruise ever! We spend that time checking out the sights. After we check in to the Holiday Inn located in North Vancouver, we race over to Lynn Canyon Park. The parking lot was full, so Jodi got out and showed the area on her solo mission and did a fine job walking on the suspension bridge over the creek. From there we drive a small section of Hwy 99, also known as the Sea to Sky Hwy. The highway goes from Vancouver, BC to Whistler and beyond. It would take every bit of a day to cover it up to that point so we will save it for another day. Stanley Park, sitting atop downtown Vancouver was a great place to stop and take some photos. So much to see and do there it was a little overwhelming at first. We visited the Stanley Park Brewery for a beer and food then explored the area. As the evening was starting to end, we started back to North Vancouver to visit the Bridge Brewery before the hotel. They had exceptional beers, and their Prime Time lineup was awesome. We have a bite to eat at Seymour's Pub & Grill before calling it a night. It was a great close to the evening. The next morning, we check out of the hotel and head over to the cruise terminal to start our Alaska adventure aboard the Koningsdam cruise ship owned by Holland America. We have been together since 1992 and have been traveling and exploring around the Pacific Northwest and beyond the entire time. Please join us as we go rambling around our next 30 years while living our โwork hard, play hardโ philosophy. We will try to show as much of our adventures, tips and reviews as we can through our journey practicing for retirement. This channel will be about adventures big and small, weekend getaways traveling in the motorhome exploring our region to flying away on extended vacations discovering new destinations. We hope to inspire others to make time to travel, explore and discover what our land has to offer. We love to check out breweries, restaurants, local hikes in the area as well as traveling away to see what other destinations have to show us. We take our dogs as much as we can, but some areas aren't made for our furry kiddos. Not every video will be an award winner but all we need is someone to laugh and enjoy the ride along the way.
