After completing my 3rd Transatlantic cruise, I spent 3 nights at London's Crowne Plaza Kings Cross Hotel. It was a 15 minute walk from the tube and national rail stations at King's Cross and St. Pancras stations. I thought it would be closer to the station than that because of the hotels name (King's Cross) but that's more because it's on Kings Cross Street, leading to and from King's Cross. The hotel was fantastic and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I was able to check in early and they even offered to help move my bags when the original room needed to have a new phone and safe installed.When I left the hotel, I realized I forgot my wallet. The hotel housekeeper did a thorough search and found it under the bed. Whew! Don't forget to look under the bed. The Restaurant across the street was awesome! So was the food in the hotel restaurant. Crowne Plaza Hotels are part of the IHG (International Hotel Group) hotel chain that includes Holiday Inn and many others. Despite the sparse equipment offered in the gym, I highly recommend this hotel. Come on IHG, at least one weight machine and some dumbbells would be a great improvement. website: www.rixtrips.com
