Our top five things we like about Carnival Miracle's Nick & Nora's Steakhouse. Hi, I'm Sheri from CruiseTipsTV. Carnival's website promotes Nick & Nora's Steakhouse with the question; "How do you make a special vacation even more special?" I don't want to play spoiler for our own video, but I've gotta say up front; yes, Nick & Nora's does make a special vacation even more special. So special for us, that we went twice on our last cruise. What makes it so special? Well... stick with us, because here are our top 5 things special things about Nick & Nora's. 1.The Elegant atmosphere. We visited Nick & Nora's aboard the Miracle. The view up to the restaurant from the glass elevator is definitely worth the ride. Once you arrive you are greeted with a stunning black and white photo of the 1930's Manhattan Skyline. If you arrive just before the sun goes down, you'll catch the reddish tones filtering through the glass and reflecting Carnival's signature funnel colors throughout the restaurant. 2. Service. The service on both nights was terrific. On our first night we were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine. A benefit, I believe of reserving the first night. It was a great start to dinner and a wonderful way to kick off our relaxing vacation. The staff was extremely attentive both nights, stopping by frequently to check on us, but not so frequently as to be intrusive. 3. The price. When we visited, the price was $35 per person. This included unlimited choices from the menu. We chose an appetizer, salad, entrรฉe and dessert for each dinner. Now that may sound like a lot to some. Especially when considering the cost of, say Horatio's the free buffet. But if you compare it to an upscale Steakhouse in most areas, you'll likely to find it quite a good value. 4. Escape from the Buffet and Dining room madness. Don't get me wrong. We quite enjoy the dining room experience, but it can often feel hectic, sometimes rushed and almost always noisy. It's a different experience at Nick & Nora's, and that was a welcome change for us. 5. And finally, the food. The food was simply excellent! In fact, our dishes were so good the first night, we ordered the exact same thing on our second visit. From the appetizers to the dessert, it was all fantastic. The mouth-watering 9oz filet mignon was cooked to perfection, and absolutely delicious. And if you like dessert you are in for a treat. The cheese cake was spectacular, and massive. If you can't decide on dessert, try the chocolate sampler. It's fun, easy to share, and sinfully tasty. That's it for this episode. Be sure to check us out on twitter @CruiseTipsTV. Now get out there and cruise, and if you stop by Nick & Nora's bon appetite! If you like this video, please like and subscribe. And please, share our videos with fellow cruisers.
